This rhododendron belonging to the group #1 is more than a hundred years old.
It takes only the room for its trunk (and a few suckers which have been cut). >>> It can grow as high as it wants for if the surface area of a garden is often limited it is not the case for the volume ! How much surface area would rhododendron yakushimanum (or another belonging to group #2 or #3) planted in this spot a hundred years ago have taken even if it were a slow grower ? |
